Most of us used to check the mailbox more often than we'd like to admit when we were waiting for our income tax checks to arrive. However, with more and more people opting for direct deposit of their checks, the waiting period is much shorter. Unfortunately, regardless of the method in which you receive your check, tax refunds may be delayed this year, due to a last minute change in legislation.
