2015 Deadlines for Filing 2014 Tax Returns

The table below shows the 2015 deadlines for filing 2014 individual income tax returns, as well as deadlines for tax extensions. One important thing to note is that you can file your taxes anytime after the start of the year, but the IRS will not process any paper or electronic returns until the IRS e-file servers go live on January 20, 2015.

Like every year, taxes are due by April 15th. However, you have an option to request a 6-month extension that moves the filing deadline to October 15th. The quickest and most accurate way to file your tax return and receive your refund is to e-file.
